Top 5 things that would make volunteering easier

1. Easy sign-ups.
I love it when you can sign up online.

2. Email alerts.
I love it when they let you know the event is coming up. Its hard to keep up when you are busy.

3. Online Newsletter. I love to find out when future events are coming up.

4. Kid friendly volunteer Opportunities. Many moms can't volunteer because of age restrictions so there should be more kid friendly events.

5. Flyers being passed out. I have found out about many events from flyers, so I think they are very important.

This post is part of a blogging contest from the TwitterMoms community. There is a chance this post could be randomly selected to win a $50 Amazon gift card, so wish me luck! For more details, you can view the contest page here (http://icomp.ly/Jooners).

Mamavation and My Call to a Better Health

So I finally decided to make a video to join the Mamavation campaign. Recently my father had a health scare and that became my wake up call to take care of my health. His scare didn't have anything to do with weight, but letting some infection on his foot get so bad that doctors were talking about cutting toes or even his foot. I know it has nothing to do with weight lost but it really just spoke to me on how worrying about your everyday issues and not taking care of yourself could become. Now I have to hold myself accountable for the weight I have put on and not doing anything about it. This is my chance to prove to myself, my kids and husband that anything is possible. I really am doing this for my kids. I have been scared straight and I truly want to see them grow and become the men and women God wants them to be. I am so ready for this, and need your support. If I get picked for the top 5, I would need your vote. I hope I have your support on this. Thanks again everyone.
